Made to measure vs off the shelf: what it actually means
Off the shelf vanities are built for standard widths and depths, so gaps and filler panels are common. Made to measure means the carcass, doors and stone top are cut for your actual wall dimensions, basin positions and plumbing routes.
Standard shop units are usually 600 mm, 750 mm or 900 mm wide. If your wall is 1,240 mm, an off the shelf unit leaves a 340 mm gap that is often hidden with a filler panel. A made to measure unit uses the full width.
In a Dubai Marina apartment, a 1,380 mm niche can use a single custom vanity instead of a smaller cabinet with a visible filler strip. In an Abu Dhabi villa, a 1,600 mm double basin wall can be built as one continuous unit without awkward joints. Custom bathroom vanity measurements remove the guesswork because the unit is made for the room, not adjusted on site.
Site measurement and drawing approval
We start with a site measurement, then prepare a drawing for approval before cutting anything. No production begins until the drawing matches your bathroom.

Materials: carcass and natural stone tops
You choose the carcass material and natural stone top, and we cut and finish both in our Dubai workshop. Moisture resistant MDF, birch plywood and marine grade plywood are common carcass options in UAE bathrooms.

For bathrooms with poor ventilation, marine grade plywood or moisture resistant MDF is a better choice than standard particle board. Stone tops are templated after the carcass is installed or dry fitted, so the stone follows the true wall line.

Once you approve the drawing, we build your made to measure vanity in about 14 days. Most of that time is workshop cutting, edge profiling, stone templating and finishing.
