What a made-to-measure double sink vanity is
It is one carcass cut to your wall measurement with two basins set into a single top. It suits master bathrooms, twin basin layouts and shared family bathrooms where two people get ready at the same time.
In Dubai Marina the second bathroom in a two or three bed apartment often becomes the shared washroom, so a twin basin layout replaces two separate single units and frees up floor space. In an Abu Dhabi villa master suite the same job runs wider, usually 1800mm with storage at both ends.
Ready-made double vanity Dubai units come in fixed widths, mostly 1200mm or 1500mm. On a real wall that rarely lines up. You either lose 80mm to a filler panel, or the existing waste ends up behind a drawer instead of inside it. Our made-to-measure bathroom vanity units are drawn around the wall you actually have.
Sizing a double vanity for real UAE bathrooms
Most double vanities we build run from 1200mm to 1800mm wide, with basin centres 700mm to 900mm apart.
- 1200mm: two compact basins. Works in a narrow Dubai Marina guest bathroom.
- 1400mm: the most common double sink unit Dubai owners order.
- 1500mm: a comfortable twin basin vanity with storage on both sides.
- 1800mm: villa master suite, with room for a seated area at one end.
Four measurements then decide the detail:
- Basin centres 700mm to 900mm apart, measured centre to centre.
- Allow 700mm to 800mm of clear standing space in front of the unit.
- Check the bathroom door swing and the shower door. A 1500mm run can eat the arc of an inward door.
- Wall-hung units need a solid wall or a concealed bracket frame. Floor-standing units give storage down to the floor and suit blockwork walls with a thin plaster finish.

What a double sink bathroom vanity costs in Dubai
Expect AED 6,000 to 8,000 all in, supply and installation included. Width, top material and the number of cut-outs decide where you land in that band.

A 1500mm stone-topped unit reaches the top of the band for concrete reasons. Two basin cut-outs need a longer and often wider slab, and stone is priced by the slab. There are two tap holes instead of one, an extra carcass section with its own runners and hinges, and two sets of waste and supply pipes to route inside the unit. Natural stone also adds a templating visit before cutting.

Carcass and top materials that survive Dubai humidity
Marine ply with a sealed natural stone, porcelain or solid surface top holds up best here. Bathroom joinery in the UAE fails at the edges first.
- Marine ply carcass: waterproof adhesive, holds screws after a slow leak, our default for bathrooms
- Moisture-resistant MDF: cheaper, fine in a powder room, swells if water sits on an unsealed edge
- Solid wood: moves with humidity swings, better for doors and frames than a full carcass
- Natural stone top: best look, needs sealing, can etch under acidic cleaners
- Porcelain slab: low maintenance, works with a slim edge profile
- Solid surface: seamless around basins and repairable, useful in a family bathroom
Finish the details properly. A slight fall towards the basin stops standing water, a sanitary-grade silicone bead seals the top to the wall and around the basin rims, and cut edges of stone and carcass get sealed before installation, not after.

The 14-day build process, step by step
About 14 days pass between an approved drawing and an installed vanity.
- Survey and measurement. We measure the wall run, floor level, waste and supply positions, door swings and mirror heights. Dubai Marina apartments often have a service boxing that changes usable depth.
- Drawing approval. A dimensioned drawing shows carcass size, basin positions, top material and edge profile. Nothing is cut until you sign it off.
- Workshop build in Dubai. The carcass is cut, assembled and edge finished 1:1 to the drawing, then the top is templated and cut.
- Installation. One working day on site, plumbing aligned, waste connected, unit sealed and levelled.
- Handover. We show you how to clean the top and where the isolation valves sit.
Before we arrive, clear the bathroom and confirm your basin and tap models. Tap holes are cut into the top, so a late change of tap means a late change of stone.

Double vs single, and wall-hung vs freestanding
A double basin vanity makes sense when two people use the same bathroom every morning. A single basin with a longer counter usually wins in a compact Dubai Marina apartment, because the second basin uses width the counter needs.
- Wall-hung: floor looks bigger, easier to mop, needs a solid wall or bracket frame, storage is shallower
- Freestanding: more storage, easier retrofit, but takes floor space and can crowd a small bathroom
Mistakes to avoid
- Ordering abroad or online. Shipping and a unit that does not fit your wall usually cost more than the saving.
- Leaving tap hole placement late. Two basins mean two tap holes, spaced to match the tap spout reach.
- Ignoring the mirror and lighting. A 1500mm unit under a 900mm mirror looks unbalanced.
- Not keeping spare stone. A later cut for a repair needs a matching offcut, and dye lots change.
- Skipping the site survey. Measurements taken from a drawing rather than the wall cause most gaps and silicone lines.

Do you supply the basins and taps?
We build the unit and the top and install the whole assembly. We can source basins and taps for you, or fit the ones you already have, as long as the models are confirmed before the top is cut.
Will a vanity unit survive Dubai humidity?
Yes, if the carcass and top are specified for it. We use marine ply and seal every cut edge, then seal the top and basin rims with sanitary-grade silicone. Moisture-resistant MDF can work in a guest powder room, but cheap particleboard struggles in a bathroom used every day.
Do you install in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah?
We cover Dubai Marina, Dubai more widely, and Abu Dhabi. Sharjah and the northern emirates are outside our current service area. Abu Dhabi jobs are scheduled ahead so the survey and installation visits are planned together.
