Small bathroom vanity Dubai: made-to-measure units

A small bathroom vanity in Dubai usually fails on depth, not width, and stock units rarely fit the space left beside the door. We build compact vanities from 350mm deep in our own Jebel Ali factory and fit them across all of the UAE, built 1:1 to the drawing you approve before production starts.

Why work with Just Right Interior Decoration LLC

The real constraint is depth, not width

Most small bathrooms in Dubai have enough wall length. What they lack is standing room once a deep unit is in place. Stock vanities run 500mm to 550mm deep, and a 550mm bathroom vanity Dubai stock item looks cheap until you stand one in a 1.4m wide apartment bathroom and have 600mm of floor left to dry yourself in.

Aim for 700mm of clear floor in front of the unit, with 600mm as the practical minimum. That pushes most apartment bathrooms and en-suites to a compact bathroom vanity Dubai build at 350mm to 450mm deep, made to the wall rather than bought off a shelf.

What each depth actually gives you

  • 350mm: a compact basin with one or two shallow drawers. The usual answer for narrow en-suites.
  • 400mm: the sweet spot. Standard basin, a usable drawer stack, no elbow fight over the sink.
  • 450mm: full-depth basin with soft-close drawers below, closest to a conventional vanity to use.

Depth is not a decision you make on its own. A 600mm wide unit at 350mm deep will fit where a 500mm wide unit at 550mm deep simply will not.

Measuring your small bathroom properly

Measure twice, cut once, and measure the things that actually stop an installation. Send a photo of the wall with a tape in frame plus two measurements and we can usually confirm feasibility the same day.

  1. Width at three heights. Measure wall to wall at floor level, at basin height and at mirror height. Tiled walls run 10mm to 20mm out, and that decides whether the unit needs a scribe filler.
  2. Door swing. Mark how far the door opens. A door that swings against the vanity needs about 40mm of clearance behind its arc.
  3. Waste position. Measure from the finished floor and from the side wall to the centre of the waste.
  4. Mirror cabinet depth. A 120mm to 150mm deep cabinet above a 400mm vanity is comfortable. Anything deeper and you lean over the basin to reach the shelf.
  5. Towel rail and sockets. A rail needs roughly 500mm of clear wall. Sockets belong to the side of the mirror, not directly behind the basin.
  6. Supply centres. Confirm where hot and cold leave the wall, typically 100mm to 150mm apart.

If a measurement is unclear, photograph it. One photo with a tape in frame saves a remake.

Wall-hung, floor-standing or corner units

Wall-hung is the usual answer in a small bathroom because it keeps the floor visually open and makes cleaning easier. Floor-standing and corner units still have their place.

TypeBest forTypical depthWatch out for
Wall-hungApartment bathrooms, en-suites, powder rooms350 to 450mmNeeds a solid wall or noggins for the bracket
Floor-standingVillas, uneven floors, tenanted units400 to 500mmThe kickboard eats floor space
CornerAwkward returns, very small washrooms400 to 600mm per wallDoor swing, and the basin wants a chamfered front

A corner bathroom vanity Dubai build solves a return wall that cannot take a full straight run, but the carcass is more complex, so you pay more per litre of storage. Where the wall is block or concrete and can be fixed properly, floating vanities that free up apartment floor space are the safer default in tight rooms.

Water supply and waste in tight layouts

Settle the trap type before the factory starts, because it changes the carcass, not just the plumbing. An S-trap needs a floor waste and a void at the base of the unit. A P-trap discharges back into the wall and suits a shallow 350mm to 400mm wall-hung vanity far better.

Confirm these three items and put them on the drawing:

  • Trap type and the centre of the waste measured from the finished wall
  • Hot and cold supply positions, and whether they land behind the drawer box
  • Waste diameter, 32mm or 40mm, because a 40mm trap needs more room behind the drawer back

Get this wrong and you lose drawer depth, or pay for a second carcass. This is where made-to-measure carcasses from our Jebel Ali factory earn their keep. A workshop can shift a drawer box 30mm to clear a trap. A flat-pack unit cannot.

Cost of a small vanity in Dubai

A compact vanity is cheaper than a full-size set, but not by half. Numbers from our own production in Jebel Ali:

  • 600mm wall-hung vanity with a white or quartz top, single basin and one drawer: AED 4,500 to 6,000
  • Fitting and silicone on site: AED 700 to 1,200, depending on access and whether the old unit comes out
  • Standard 900mm set, for comparison: AED 6,000 to 8,000, plus the same fitting range

What pushes a small vanity up the price

  • Quartz tops in Super White, Black, Calacatta Miranda or Statuario Exclusive
  • Soft-close runners and handleless push-open fronts
  • A second basin, or a deeper 450mm carcass
  • A backlit mirror cabinet, priced separately from the vanity
  • Cutting around an existing tile line instead of a clean wall

The full ladder sits in our guide to what a compact vanity costs in Dubai, including how pricing changes when you order two or three units together.

Small vanities for landlords, serviced apartments and hotel studios

Repeat units are a different job from a one-off. If you are refitting 10 or 40 bathrooms to the same plan, the saving comes from locking one drawing and building to it, not from shopping around between suppliers.

Once that drawing is approved, every unit is built 1:1 to it in Jebel Ali, so unit 7 matches unit 1. Batches of five compact units or more usually leave the factory in around 14 days, with fitting booked in blocks of 3 to 5 hours per bathroom so tenants are not left without a working washroom.

The process is the same whether the property is in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah. Same compact specs, same drawings, same depth. A small washroom vanity unit UAE-wide means your maintenance team holds one spare carcass instead of three.

A very professional team, attentive to every detail. Diana Tosi, 5 stars

Frequently asked questions

How much does a small bathroom vanity cost in Dubai?

A 600mm wall-hung vanity with a white or quartz top, single basin and one drawer runs AED 4,500 to 6,000, with fitting at AED 700 to 1,200 on top. A standard 900mm set sits at AED 6,000 to 8,000 before fitting. The figure is fixed once you approve the drawing, so it does not move during production.

Can you build a vanity less than 500mm deep?

Yes. We build from 350mm deep, which is what a lot of Dubai apartment bathrooms and powder rooms actually need. Depths of 350mm, 400mm and 450mm are all standard for us because the carcass is made to the drawing rather than cut down from a stock size.

Do you install outside Dubai?

Yes. We manufacture in Jebel Ali and install across all of the UAE, including Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Fitting usually takes 3 to 5 hours per bathroom, and the same approved drawing can be repeated for multiple units in the same building.

How long does a compact vanity take to make and fit?

Around 14 days from the day you approve the drawing to the finished unit. Fitting is then booked as a single 3 to 5 hour visit. We confirm the fitting slot once production is complete.

What is the smallest vanity size you would recommend?

Below roughly 500mm wide and 350mm deep, storage gets thin and the basin feels cramped. A 500mm to 600mm wide unit at 400mm deep is the smallest size we would put in a daily-use bathroom. For a powder room with almost no floor space, a corner unit at 400mm along each wall usually works better.
